This year’s edition of the FIVB Volleyball Women’s U20 World Championship will take place in the Netherlands and Belgium from July 9-18.

The competition will feature 16 teams, eight matchdays plus two rest days.

The 16 teams participating in the event will be divided into four pools and play a round-robin tournament. The matches in Pools A and C will be held in the Dutch city of Rotterdam, while Pools B and D take place in Kortrijk, Belgium.

The top two teams from each pool will then be split into two further pools of four (Pools E and F), with the bottom two teams from the first round also divided into two pools of four (Pools G and H). Matches in Pools E and G will be played in Rotterdam and matches in Pools F and H in Kortrijk.

The top two teams from Pools E and F will qualify for the semifinals and finals, with the bottom two facing off in a playoff to be classified from fifth to eighth. The winners from Pools G and H will participate in a playoff for the ninth to 12th positions with the bottom two teams from the same pool moving into a playoff for 13th to 16th. Classification matches and finals will be split across both venues with Rotterdam hosting the matches for gold, silver and bronze.
