Tickets are on sale for the FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship Russia 2022 following the Drawing of Lots that placed the 24 participating teams in their first phase pool and determined where they'll be actually playing.

The FIVB's flagship competition will be spread across a total of ten cities in Russia and is scheduled to run from 26 August to 11 September 2022.

Pre-registration for tickets had already opened since early last month, but the sales programme has now entered its second phase which runs until April 2022 for tickets without assigned seats.

"The uncertainty of the epidemiological situation is the main reason for selling tickets without assigned seats, said Russian Volleyball Federation General Secretary Alexander Yaremenko at a Press Conference in Moscow devoted to the ticketing programme of the competition.

The ticketing system is set to allocate specific seats at a later date, upon which the actual printing of physical tickets will commence.

A third phase for the ticketing programme, including assigned seats, will start two months prior to the World Championship.

There are four categories of tickets - though some arenas can offer only three due to their capacity.

To make the competition accessible to all, 40% of tickets will cost no more than 1000 rubles (about 14 US dollars or 12 euros) and only 10% will be in the most expensive category, expected to reach 8000 rubles.

Types of tickets that will available for sale:

  • Individual tickets for one match
  • Child tickets (free for children born after 1 August 2020 and accompanied by a paying adult)
  • Day Pass tickets for two matches of the day in one arena
  • City Pass tickets for attending all matches in one specific city
  • Follow the Team Pass

Same ticketing conditions apply to both Russian and visiting foreign fans.

There will not be a Fan ID system for the 2022 World Championship, though registration on the ticketing website is required, as the Director General of the Organizing Committee Roman Stanislavov explained at the Press Conference.

In addition, Russia 2022 will offer a Hospitality Programme, with preliminary applications already available at hospitality2022.ru.

Hospitality packages will go on sale separately and cannot be booked through the regular ticketing website.
