Robin De Kruijf punches through the block of Cristina Chirichella as Conegliano take down Novara in the Italian league classic.

There's no stopping Prosecco Doc Imoco Volley Conegliano, who thundered past archrivals Igor Gorgonzola Novara 3-0 (25-22, 28-30, 25-23) Thursday night to complete Round 3 of the Italian women's volleyball league and stay undefeated and on full points.

The absence of libero Monica de Gennaro was no problem as Lara Caravello stepped in to cover the gap in the most efficient way and scoring machine Paola Egonu delivered a match high of 23 points (and earned the MVP of the match award for her efforts).

Bulgaria's Hristina Vuchkova put up an impenetrable block and stopped Novara six times, while Poland's Joanna Wolosz again did a remarkable job in distributing the play for the defending champions.

Novara could have made things a bit different had they managed to convert four set points in the second as Conegliano came from behind to extend their overall lead.

It was Congliano's 68th win on the trot across all seasons and competiitons. They have not lost a match since December 2019 and now stand on full points at the top of the standings in the Italian League.
