Ekaterina Antropova celebrates alongside teammate Marina Lubian as she leads Scandicci to the top of the Italian league standings.

Savino Del Bene Scandicci missed the opportunity to provisionally stand alone at the top of the standings in the Italian women's league, after dropping a point on Sunday at home to Bosca S.Bernardo Cuneo in a thrilling comeback win 3-2 (16-25, 22-25, 25-21, 25-19, 15-9).

The big match and highly anticipated game of the day, between archrivals Igor Gorgonzola Novara and Prosecco Doc Imoco Volley Conegliano was postponed after Covid-19 tests returned more than four positive results within the camp of defending champions and table leaders Conegliano.

The result sees Scandicci now tied with Conegliano at the top of the table on 34 points each, though they have played two matches more.
