Thailand’s Fab Seven named Team of the Decade

The volleyball legends known as Thailand’s Fab Seven received a prestigious award at a special ceremony organised by the Sports Photo Journalist Association of Thailand on the occasion of its 30th anniversary.

Amporn Hyapha, Malika Kanthong, Wilavan Apinyapong, Wanna Buakaew, Nootsara Tomkom, Onuma Sittirak and Pleumjit Thinkaow were applauded on the stage of the ‘Three Decades of Seconds to Dream, Power of Pride’ event held on Thursday, as they received the award in the Team of the Third Decade category.

Thai women’s volleyball national team players are among the most popular athletes in their country. Their success stories have been a real inspiration to millions of sporting fans in Thailand and all over the world. The Fab Seven have been at the core of their country’s most successful volleyball generation on the way to this truly deserved recognition.
